Our Story
Welcome to Doggy Social, where we specialize in providing exceptional pet attendant services for weddings!
Doggy Social was born from a problem founder Lara Leinen experienced firsthand. When planning her own wedding in 2017, Lara knew she wanted her beloved cat, Taz, by her side—but finding someone she trusted to care for him throughout the day simply wasn’t an option. One month later, she adopted her pup, Asbjorn and realized she couldn’t be the only couple facing this dilemma, and Doggy Social was born.
With more than 15 years of experience in the wedding industry and a lifetime of caring for animals, Lara set out to create the service she wished she had for her own wedding: professional, personalized care that makes it possible for couples to include their pets without adding stress to their day.
Today, Doggy Social helps couples across the country make their wedding-day pet dreams a reality. From walking down the aisle to joining family photos, cocktail hour, or simply being part of the celebration, we handle the logistics and care so you can focus on what matters most—celebrating with the people and pets you love.
Our Mission
At Doggy Social, our mission is simple: to provide exceptional care for your pets while making your wedding day easier, more joyful, and unforgettable.
We treat every pet as an individual, tailoring their care to their personality, needs, and your wedding-day vision. Safety always comes first, which is why our professional Pet Attendants are extensively trained and pet CPR certified. From the moment we meet your pup to the moment they are safely back home, they receive attentive, loving one-on-one care.
But our mission goes beyond your wedding day. We are proud rescue advocates and believe in giving back to the organizations that make a difference in the lives of animals. Our inspiration, Asbjorn—Lara’s rescue pup and Doggy Social’s Chief Executive Dog—is a constant reminder of why we do what we do.
Giving Back
It is with great pleasure we donate a portion of our wedding proceeds to rescue organizations. We also volunteer our time to support many fur-baby non-profits!
